Rembrandt Frerichs, a Dutch pianist and composer will play during Solo Piano Weekend.

Jazzmagazine wrote about pianist and composer Rembrandt Frerichs…One couldn’t hope for a better
recommendation. Perhaps the most interesting young musician coming from Holland at this moment, Rembrandt (1977) is a pianist with a broad perspective. Both in 2007 and 2014 his albums were nominated for the Dutch Grammy awards.
His music brought him playing in Birdland in New York and festivals in Europe and the Far East. His music have been performed by Holland Baroque, Kayhan Kalhor, Paolo Fresu,Trygve Seim, Norma Winstone and Jim Black.
In 2004 he was invited for the European Jazz Orchestra’s tour though Brazil and Europe,Working with Hermeto
Pascoal With his Rembrandt Frerichs Trio they launched a yearly series “Music made in Europe”, celebrating the best of European Jazz and improvised music, collaborating with guest musicians from all over Europe.
